//  ANOTHER BRONSON  //

Then Came Bronson (NBC, 1969-70)

Michael Parks plays Jim Bronson, a disillusioned newspaper reporter who hits the open road on his 1968 XLH 900cc Harley-Davidson Sportster following the suicide of a friend. The pilot movie was first aired over NBC on March 24, 1969, with Martin Sheen playing Nick Oresko, Bronson's troubled friend who leaps to his death. Bronson buys the Harley from Nick's widow Gloria (Sheree North) and departs the rat race, eventually hooking up with a young runaway bride (Bonnie Bedelia). The Then Came Bronson pilot was filmed in California around Big Sur, San Francisco, Stockton and Sacramento. Then Came Bronson, an unmistakable product of the freewheeling 1960s and early '70s, officially debuted as a regular series on September 17, 1969, producing 26 episodes .
